Moon Shadow Stables LLC. Established in 2001 has been caring for and training horses for customers for over 19 years. The Stable is located in Fincastle VA and is family owned and operated. We are one of the valley's best private horse boarding farms. The Stable and farm is located 15 mins from Salem & Roanoke and 30 mins from the Lexington VA Horse Center and Green Hill Park. We give exceptional care to the show horse and pleasure horse offering highly-experienced staff and professional horse management.

Pictured below is Owner, Trainer and Manager of Moon Shadow Stables LLC. and some of her show horses over the years. Jen was raised on a cattle farm with horses, chickens and many other animals. She has been riding horses since age six and rode for Longwood College Equestrian Team earning the team points and ribbons during her college years. Jenny also worked for other horse stables and boarding facilities while in middle school and in high school and for her parents on their cattle farm and horse farm. She was an active member in the 4-H Horse and Pony Club as a youth rider and also was a member of the 4-H Dressage Drill Team in 1993. She was involved in 4-H Horse Judging and the other 4-H teams. Jenny also worked for the Lexington Carriage Company for a summer in College. Jen holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Longwood College and worked in Therapeutic Recreation Management in Long Term Care health facilities for eight years. Jenny's husband Chris also grew up with cattle, and had a pony that he and his sister shared. His families raised pigs and other animals as well. Chris also served in the United States Marine Corps and has his Certification and Degree from Virginia Western in Heating and Air. Both Jen and Chris work very hard to provide the safest environment and exceptional care for the horses at Moon Shadow Stables.
